It is also possible to restore your antique in pauls workshop by attending one of his weekly classes. Restoration work is so rewarding and when completed, it will of given you so much valued learning, and a piece you are proud of and is worth showing off to all your friends and family.

If you would like something custom made in wood marquetry, the process is simple. First, you can email a photograph to me for evaluation. (You can also send a photo by regular mail). Next, I will email back an estimate of what it would cost to have it done. The price of most marquetry pictures is based primarily on the amount of detail in the photo. More detail means more small pieces have to be cut, which means more labor and time, which equates to higher costs. I can usually take out, or add details to a picture to bring the commission price into a range that the customer is comfortable with. Here above is example of how much detail can go in from the original pictures:
Woodworking Classes
Paul Webb also conducts woodworking classes on Wednesdays and Fridays at his workshop in Ballina NSW. Paul teaches basic to advanced skills using mostly hand tools and some power tools and equipment, the classes are self paced and a great way to meet other like minded people. You could bring your favourite piece for restoration, or bring your own ideas to build from scratch. You will feel the timber and process as it should be experienced without pressure and help always at hand.
